Chapter 1

It was a late November evening and the snow fell softly upon the city. The starry night sky that once shone bright and grand was smothered with dark and caliginous clouds. The routine activities that once filled the local town paused as the crepuscular sky entered. An elegant and magnificent mansion quietened by the night stood on the top of a hill. Every glorious light in the grand house was darkened, except for a single room. There stood a teenage boy with golden hair. His pale sky-blue eyes stared at himself in the mirror as he frowned at his appearance.

His usual slicked-back hair was partly tied up in a neat ponytail, and his pajamas were a deep blue that hung loosely from his body. John sighed softly as he scarcely heard a firm knock at his door. He shuffled his way towards the door and gently opened it. Outside stood his parents, who wore charming smiles on their perfect faces. However, he knew by heart they were as fake as their true personalities.

"Are you ready for bed, Johnathan?" his mother asked sweetly as John smiled back.

"Of course, Mother, I just finished washing up," John said, as his father stared with a disgusted face at his son's hair.

"What did I express about wearing a ponytail?" He said and ripped the band out of his hair.

"That if I don't like my hair, I could always get a haircut," John properly spoke as it fell slowly to rest on his shoulders. He disregarded the sore feeling of his head throbbing.

"Good, I hope you get a proper night's rest. You have a busy day tomorrow," his father said. John's parents turned around and walked off to their own bedroom.

John politely bowed to his parents and slowly closed his door. He huffed angrily and grabbed another rubber band. The blonde quickly tied up his hair, not bothering to make it neat this time. He made his way towards his dresser, searched around on the top, and promptly found a small black cartridge.

John was delighted himself for being able to carefully hide his vape from his ever-so-watching parents. It started first as a casual thing, and now the activity has instantly become his escape each day. He flicked off the lights and quietly walked out onto the balcony. John gently turned on his vape and took a deep inhale.

"Fuck yeah," John happily breathed out. He smiled slightly as he carefully watched the vapor exhale out of his mouth. He enjoyed observing the ethereal clouds of smoke dance around in the air, drifting away into the world. John felt himself finally relaxed after another long day.

John bitterly hates his life. Oh, what he would do just to finally escape it all, to finally experience his life like a normal person would. One day he'll escape, and when John finally does, he will never look back.

Ik that this really short (488 words) but I wanted to stay true to the first chapter of the original story and make both first chapters similar.

I also felt that it worked better as a first chapter.

Note that this is not the beginning of the story, this chapter takes place sometime in the middle of the story. I make it more of an introduction to the story.

Dw, all the other chapters are going to be longer as I get used to writing and work on this more.

A random headcanon: i have so MANY THO,, like he eventually needs glasses but he hates wearing them because he looks more like his brother and it aches in his chest,, or how he isn’t just a cat person he love all animals bc they’re gentle and sweet and he likes feeding them :”), or how he looks way older than he actually is due to trauma and not taking very good care of himself but when he finally starts to heal and eat and sleep better it’s like a completely different person it’s like he loses ten years off his age overnight,, he and mei are penpals and when he’s finally (probably forced) to take a break from building in ishval he visits her in Xing and also HE WALKS HER DOWN THE ISLE WHEN SHE GETS MARRIED FIGHT ME and probably cries more than she does,, listen mei and scar has the sweetest relationship okay,, also this is incredibly specific but! i feel like he has chronic pain in the arm his brother gave him for.. obvious reasons and also he’s lactose intolerant but that won’t stop him from putting milk in his tea because he’s not a fucking coward miles

General Opinion over said character: my absolute favorite,, he was right and people sleep on him and his character arc and status as both a justice seeker and morally gray character and how finding out about the ishvalan towns and meeting miles rocked his world and how he literally rearranged his current view of the world because of them,,  i will say i Really Wish They Didn’t Have Him Kill Winry’s Parents i understand WHY but i still greatly dislike it bc it doesn’t,, click well to me in the writing i rlly feel like it should’ve been a state alchemist or military personnel like it was in 03, also ik he stabbed kimblee but tbh  he deserved to deck him at least once,, stan scar ALSO FUN FACT BUT SCAR WOULD ALSO BE CONSIDERED A CHIMERA (WHICH SCIENTIFICALLY ISN’T THAT RARE IF YOU’VE EVER HAD A BLOOD TRANSFUSION YOU’RE AN ARTIFICAL CHIMERA) BECAUSE OF HIS ARM SPECIFICALLY HE’D HAVE MICROCHIMERISM DUE TO THE SPECIFIC PLACEMENT OF HIS ARM AND HOW IT’S ONLY IN HIS ARM AND ALSO ARTIFICAL CHIMERISM BC IT WAS TRANSPLANTED TO HIM

the first time she slept with Bertrand was after that very night at the opera. They were both confused and miserable and wanted someone to hold them but neither of them thought themselves a good enough person to deserve someone innocent, someone who doesn't know what they did, to hold them, and then it just... happened. Bertrand

had blond hair (Sunny takes after him), wore glasses (I guess it could be said that Klaus takes after him)

mostly worked in the theatre as a stagehand, building sets and props, but occasionally took part in performances too, usually filling in for one actor or another

kept in touch with Theodora after finishing his apprenticeship

used to sing while cooking dinner

the nicest, politest person you'll ever meet but could also obliterate you with a couple of words (usually preferred not to)

didn’t really like Beatrice that much before they started working together on the poison darts mission - thought her to be too pretentious and loud

Lemony

tried growing a moustache as an experiment once and it was Terrible

has always been rather chubby; sometimes it bothers him but only because it means he can't always squeeze through a hole in the fence/a porthole/etc. when in need of escape

used to play the accordion for his friends at the parties

has a quite beautiful singing voice but usually is embarrassed to sing (Beatrice was usually successful at persuading him to do it though)

tried to hate Bertrand at first and failed spectacularly and was mad at himself because of that

since Stain'd-by-the-Sea, has killed in self-defence in a fight a couple of times but has never murdered anyone anymore like he murdered Hangfire

once dreamed of reforming VFD (actual volunteering instead of kidnapping, no more separating children from their families and so on) but by the time of after The End, when the organization is completely in shambles and many volunteers (for example, R) believe that now is the perfect time to rebuild it basically from scratch, he does not want to be part of this anymore - partly because most of the volunteers (except for, again, R, and some other people) now see him as a traitor for exposing so much VFD secrets, and partly because he'd rather spend his time helping his niece find the Baudelaires

Jacques

had always been considered attractive by everyone (despite the unibrow)

the "I'm not mad, I'm disappointed" kind of guy

usually the designated driver at parties

learned to drive at the age of, like, ten, but insisted on getting a real driving licence when he got old enough for this. As a result, had a legal licence and a bunch of fake ones for VFD missions

prior to "recruitment" he befriended Jerome and managed to stay friends with him throughout their lives even though they could not meet as often as they both would've loved to. Had always suspected that Jerome is in love with him; loved him back but knew that being involved with anyone from VFD would be too dangerous for Jerome who, despite many good qualities that Jacques loved about him, was not a fighter at all. Tried to fill the void with various on-and-off relationships with other volunteers, such as Olivia and Frank, but never really got over Jerome

Kit

liked wearing men's clothes and strict/business women's clothes

usually kept her hair in a bun or a ponytail but every time she let it down everyone noticed how beautiful it was

very good at physics and engineering

Lemony didn't know it but she kept in touch with Ellington after their escape from the prisoner wagon. They were always on the verge of romantic relationship but avoided it because E, naturally, did not want to have anything to do with VFD, while K couldn't imagine her life without it

was a heavy smoker but quit after finding out she's expecting 

her pregnancy was absolutely unplanned but she decided to keep the baby for a number of reasons, such as that she might not be able to get pregnant later due to her age and that there was actually no time and/or opportunity for her to have an abortion safely

Olaf

had dyslexia (hence problems with spelling but being good at anagrams). Sometimes asked Kit to read him books out loud

his relationship with his parents has never been that great; what devastated him the most was not so much their sudden death (though it was undoubtedly shocking) as the fact that his friends (and, for all their conflicts, he still considered Beatrice his best friend) betrayed him

his propensity for alcohol is partly genetic - his father didn't drink too often, but when he did, he went on long drinking sprees 

used to dress like a greaser in his youth - leather jackets, dark sunglasses, all that jazz

sometimes when he (tol) and Beatrice (smol) would stand next to each other, he would put his elbow or his chin on top of her head; it annoyed her extremely

had a crush on Josephine in his early teenage years but she rejected him quite brutally. That old grudge was part of the reason why his plan of getting her out of the way included seducing her

Esme

has never been recruited by VFD - she just befriended Beatrice and Olaf and, being nosy, soon started to find out more and more about VFD. They thought her a potentially useful associate so eventually she became quite closely involved with the organization

her parents were rich, bought her whatever she wanted, and made sure she got a good education but never really cared about her that much or showed her love. In other words, her childhood was very much like Carmelita's

used to shoplift (makeup, jewellery, similar small objects) for fun as a teen

actually really good at math and finances

she wasn't the one who burned down the Baudelaire mansion, and she cried with rage when she found out Beatrice was dead. She wanted revenge and now she couldn't have it - it was almost as if even in death B did everything she could to do her dirty one last time

survived the hotel fire but was arrested a short time after for a variety of crimes she committed together with Olaf. Nevertheless, managed to get acquitted on all charges and became an even more popular celebrity because of the media coverage of her trial. Many years later, already after her death, a Chicago-like musical about her life was staged. It was wildly inaccurate and romanticized her and her relationship with Olaf to no end, but the public loved it. The adult Beatrice Baudelaire II, being a true niece of her uncle, wrote a scorching review of it, but it didn't really alter anyone's opinion.

R

her mother was French Canadian and her father was Black Canadian

her mother was not a member of VFD but still an associate and agreed to let her daughter be taken in return for them aiding her in politics. Because of her mother’s connection to VFD, R was allowed to spend much more time with her family than other young recruits ever had a chance to

For some time, they both courted B, waiting for her to decide whom she likes best. When B chose L, R felt quite miserable but managed to let go of her feelings as time passed. She never forgot Beatrice, but she's had multiple relationships after her

there was a brief period when her family thought she and Lemony were dating, which they found both awkward and hilarious. They've never felt anything but friendship towards each other. On several occasions they fell asleep in one bed and never found anything weird about it

after the hotel fire and the almost complete collapse of VFD, she is leading the fraction that believes that the organization's ways should be changed (see the last point in hcs about Lemony above)

Monty

used to send his friends postcards from his travels, making sure to code the messages and the return addresses

Josephine

good at boxing, fencing, swimming, arm wrestling... like, Beatrice was Sporty™, but Josephine was the Sportiest™

to ask her out, Ike sent her a letter with some mistakes, she started correcting them automatically and realized that the wrong letters formed the phrase “I like you”. She found it clever and cute, and went on a date with him

I feel like I’ve seen this idea somewhere before but I can’t recall where... anyway... she was more interested in descriptive grammar and the development of language before losing Ike but then started to concentrate on prescriptive grammar because she subconsciously sought something stable and predictable in her shattered life

Widdershins

claims that Melville is his favourite writer but hasn’t actually read anything by him apart from Moby-Dick. His associates quickly found it out by dropping references to Billy Budd, Bartleby, the Scrivener, and other Melville’s works

there was a time when he kept borrowing money from his friends (usually small sums to buy cigarettes or beer or something) and returning it months later or never at all. It became a subject for many inside jokes within his friend circle. Is this point inspired by Netflix? Yes, it is

I blame this post for giving me the headcanon that he and Monty had a short-lived but passionate affair in their youth, which they both recalled fondly later

his parents were Mexican, and he tried to reconnect with his heritage by researching traditions and culture and literature. All the Mexican dishes he cooks he learned to cook by himself

apart from hot air balloons, can fly and work with dirigibles and other aerostats

witnessed many terrible things, including gruesome deaths of several associates, and begged the higher-ranking firefighters to transfer him to some quieter position. They could see clearly that he wasn’t fit for dangerous tasks anymore, and he got relocated to the Village of Fowl Devotees. As the organization became increasingly scattered, whatever he was supposed to be in charge with was forgotten, and so was he

after TVV he keeps seeing Jacques in his nightmares, dying again and again and reminding how H failed him and the Baudelaires

part of my headcanon about him, the Quagmires, and the Widdershins sticking together after surviving the Great Unknown is H and W having a relationship that’s like 50% “why you. Out of all my associates I’m left with you and I never even really liked you, WHY” and 50% doing household chores together in comfortable silence. At some point they start referring to the triplets, Fiona, and Fernald collectively as “our children” and neither remembers who started it

Olivia

had two sisters - M(iranda) and N; by the time of TCC hasn’t seen either of them in years

owned a Tarot card pack that belonged to her grandmother

she and Jacques had sex a number of times and she would’ve loved for it to turn into a more serious relationship but she knew that deep down he loved someone else

The Denouements

Frank was born first, then Ernest, and Dewey was the last

D faked his death when he was about 16 because the VFD higher-ups ordered the Denouements to make sure the firestarters believed there were only two of them now. He volunteered, knowing that his brothers were better at running the hotel and working with people, a decision he came to regret later

D fell in love with Kit when she was still dating Olaf. They didn’t become a couple until a year or two before the events of ASOUE

F was Jacques’s another occasional bedfellow. In contrast to Olivia, he never showed how much he really cared about J (and he cared much more than he would’ve preferred to)

E met Fernald a number of times before ASOUE and often flirted with him in a way of “if you’re up for it, I’m in”. He pitied the young man because he knew Olaf would hardly ever return Fernald’s feelings

both F and E liked D more than each other and had a “I wish you were dead instead” moment after his death. After losing their hotel to the fire, they wanted to go their separate ways but soon understood they still need each other. They moved to a European country called Zubrovka to work in the famous hotel there

The Sebalds

Gustav was 2-3 years older than Sally

when they were kids, they used to write plays and put them on at the family gatherings using their toys and handmade sets. One of such gatherings was visited by a distant relative who was in VFD. Some days later, they were “recruited”

all of Gustav’s films are incredibly low-budget and fastly made and all his friends have starred in at least one of them because it usually went like... Headquarters: we need a film with this and that secret message to be shown at this and that cinema in five days. Gustav, mass texting his friends: guys who’s free this weekend, I have another movie to make

Gustav and Monty were dating

Sally dated R at some point (Monty introduced her to R)

after The End Sally, like R, is one of those volunteers who advocate for reforming the organization and dropping its old ways

edit sorry this post is both long (if the readmore fails i am truly truly sorry) & longwinded im just reflecting and thinking; (another edit: u can probably just read the tl dr and get it)

anyway allow me to spin some very personally based theory here for a mo while i put off/warm my fingers up from the cold in preparation to email my therapist

so growing up i had, i think only, het ships, but i never quite had the ones you were (narratively speaking) “supposed to” have

in most media i recall when i was a kid, there were like, 2 diff structures of character romance plot arcs in media i consumed, there was the main lead and 2 best friends model, where thered be the star of the show who had outside romantic leads and the 2 best friends (who were always a boy and a girl) would have their secondary romance, OR there were ensemble shows where there was a more clear romance set up between the main boy and main girl, then side characters whod pair off in whatever ways ended up happening. in the first, see: hannah montana, the second, see: zoey 101. obv this isnt a hard rule and there were loads of exceptions but like, lets just say i tended not to care for the romances set up for the main girls in the trio models, or quite as hard for the main boy and girl in the ensembles, and in general if there was an obvious romance between two leads i either didnt care or outright hated it

basically i never liked the ships they set up for us in straight media, as a kid (namely, a girl) i liked being that “ew pink!” “i hate valentines day” sort of contrarian, but what i remember actually disliking was the predictability of it, because i clearly still shipped characters, so it wasnt /really/ that i hated romance, per se

looking back on it i think it was probably or at least to a degree more like that i hated the hetero expectation of it- i can nit pick down to more specific examples of why i disliked the main pairings (kataang, for example, i thought was weird bc katara acted like a mother/older sister figure to aang, and i didnt feel like there was romance between them at all except where it felt shoehorned in) - maybe it was also that i thought it made more sense for a main character to be with someone they clearly already spent a lot of time with and not some random new hot boy in town (i very distinctly remember shipping miley and oliver on hannah montana, and i believe that was the first time i ever read fanfiction @ age like... 11 lol) as is often the case w like these things.

theres another level to this though, which is that i notice i tended to ship characters who were more vaguely similar to each other, like, physically (ie, similar heights, or hair colors mainly) obviously this is funny now since my main pairing is johnlock which is such a physically different ship we can construct them from basic shapes and colors and theyre still recognizable as who they are, but i have some thoughts about this- but i think there might be two interesting things about this again in retrospect

first of all, this sounds silly ik, but shipping the vaguely similar ones as a child’s way of queering heterosexuality is an interesting concept and not that difficult, like, two boys are also vaguely similar to each other in a similar way a boy and a girl with the same hair color and height might be, which is something i thought of a while ago

the other way in which this is really interesting to me now, that i think might have been more actually pertinent to myself as a trans child, is that i think i shipped the characters i did in an attempt to morph the concept of boy and girl? to find the boy counterpart to every girl??? that second one makes more sense actually. anyway, i digress

2 start off i definitely had gender feelings starting from a very young age so i think these observations ring more true than just reflections, PERHAPS

so the first thing i remember shipping, ie wanting them to be together, thinking about it an inordinate amount of time outside watching the films, even imagining them eating ice cream together in their pjs (i was NINE DHFJGghfkg) was jack sparrow & elizabeth swan from potc (basically my franchise of choice as a kid bc i never read harry potter) now this doesnt quite fit the “visually similar” thing bc actually orlando bloom looks more like kiera knightly and is prob due to them like making out in one movie, but i think this works for the “shipping as gender expression” theory, because elizabeth swan dressed up as a boy, spent most of that movie wearing boy’s clothes, etc- meanwhile jack was a wacky pirate which like hello duh i’d want to be. so i wonder if beyond the fact that they kissed and flirted, there was something to this concept of me wanting two characters to be together, meant i wanted to marry together two conceptual things happening with two characters, or absorb the cool dude and the boyish girl characters into each other to make one whole archetype for myself? i likewise shipped aang and toph (toph who, normally doesnt really have anyone to be shipped with, since she likes sokka but he has a gf) who we all know is the VERY boyish girl character, so boyish im p sure her actually being a trans dude later in life is a p decently accepted headcanon (i dont actually delve into aatla fandom though so i can only hope) 

another thing about this ship thing, is most of my ships had brown hair (like miley and oliver), just like i always have, and in certain cases the girl character would look a LOT like me (i also shipped logan and quinn on zoey 101, which to my surprise n delight actually came true later (although looking back im like... 11 yr old me is glad they made out a lot but adult me is like uhhh why were the kids on this show making out a lot? anyway thats another issue) and i def was a weirdo girl with glasses and long brown wavy hair) which sort of further fuels my feeling that this was an attempt by my brain to do 1 of 2 things, if my own involvement really was a greater motivating factor in this thing, 1. ship MYSELF with a boy (which is like def possible for my gay kinnie ass, but not quite my thesis here) or 2. morph these boy and girl counterparts by imagining them together, seeing them together, etc

for example, i realize now, when i was a kid i drew an avatar sona for myself and said sona looked an awful lot like how id imagine a katara/zuko fusion would be, and the fact that i shipped zutara (very hard lol) was what lead me down this thought path rn

i feel like even to me this concept sounds weird and far fetched but like, gem fusion made enough sense for someone to write with its clearly, usually, romantic implications and we all “get” that, so whom knows???

another thing ive noticed while writing this is for a good few of these ships you can argue the boys in them can be read gay, like jack sparrow and zuko and aang, which feels even more strongly like me trying to marry my gay boy feelings to my tomboy realities [thinking emoji]

the biggest reason i think this makes sense to me is because when i was 10 i became obsessed with the idea that this boy i was friends with and i were secretly twins separated at birth, like i was so into the concept that we looked alike, i like hoped and wished so hard for it to be true, i wished a christmas miracle would happen for fucking real and a magic door in my house would open and be his new room and itd all work out perfectly! and you might think this was a manifestation of my difficulties with my family and wishing to leave it, but in my dream world my parents were still my parents and he came to live with us- which makes me think the obsession of ME looking like this BOY was a manifestation of my gender feelings, which i think can maybe be traced to this concept of pairing a visually similar, possibly gay, brunette boy to every brunette and/or tomboyish girl

anyway. if you actually read all of this id love it if you lmk somehow (doesnt need to be a like) like this is clearly very long and strange but i hope it makes sense. i think i stop myself a lot from ever commenting on gender or theory or whatever but i am a living breathing trans person who has experienced things and i have opinions and i dont think im claiming anything destructive with this lol i think its not unusual to reflect on the way you interacted with the world as a gay/trans kid

also im obviously not saying that shipping straight things is somehow inherently queer, im not trying to retroactively claim something about straight ships, like, those two characters are still functionally straight, and i definitely also shipped probably all of them for normal shipping reasons (although, kid ones, so less “oh theres a lot of ACTUAL romantic subtext between these two” but rather “oh theyre friends and would be cute together!” (or like they kissed and i was like O: )) but im just trying to theorize about something its possible my tiny trans brain was trying to express- and who knows maybe im not the only one!

anyway i guess the TL;DR is: when i was a kid i had a lot of “unconventional” straight ships- i already observed that i eschewed the main canon pairings in kids media in what was probably my tiny baby brains rejection of hetero culture, but i also actively shipped side characters who looked like me, and also looked like each other (ie, both tall and brunette, a boy and girl counterpart of Each Other) OR characters who seemed to be a gayish boy and a tomboyish girl, and im theorizing that maybe the reason that was was my tiny trans brain wanting to gem fusion those two together because of my Gender Feelings and fuse the boy with the girl and this desire manifested in shipping therefore thinking about a lot these pairings of boy and girl counterparts

High School!Taehyung

And now it is time for the second half of the Daegu line, the second part of Vmin, the love of my life who is so fucking cute like I rewatched his v live where he was just jamming out and eating and seeing him be so happy made me s o fucking happy like I need a million hours of that plz and thnx, Kim Taehyung aka V aka tae tae

This will be an extension of the teenager series (for the teen!tae post, click here) the original post focused on the relationship, like the first meeting, the confession all of that fluffy stuff so this post is gonna be filling the gap in and saying what I think he’d be like as a high school student

His post features barista!Taehyung (here) I changed the story in the teenager post (in the barista post you two were childhood friends, in the teen post, you weren’t) either one works though, there isn’t any mention of it in this post bc his job was a summer job and this is all about Tae when he’s in school

Onto visuals bc this is one of my favorite parts, fetus!Tae is one of my favorites bc he’s one of my favorite people in the world so a younger version of him is amazing

Predebut!Tae doesn’t actually have a huge difference like his face is a tiny bit rounder than it is currently but I think that’s just bc he grew into his features more I mean his height has grown over the years so he’s obviously done some maturing physically, the cheekbones are more prominent, jaw is sharper but for the most part, fetus tae and current tae are pretty similar (obviously he’s gonna look the same since he’s the same person but there isn’t too much of a dramatic change)

I think it’s also bc tae has a pretty youthful look (and personality) especially with how cute he always is and I think that’s why a lot of people are w h o a when they hear his voice bc you see this squishy lil face with the most kissable nose and you don’t expect his voice to be so damn deep but it’s a nice contrast I like it 10/10 for you Mr. Kim

There are so many hair choices for this, I love tae and all of his dyed hair sign me uP but I think I’m gonna do brown hair!Tae bc the concept photos were just released the other day and he’s got the brown hair and it looks so fucking amazing but also in his fetus pictures he’s got the presumably natural dark brown/black hair (unless he’s been dying his hair since he was a lil pre-idol teenager)

Onto fashion, I l o v e Tae’s fashion sense so fucking much it’s so cute and comfy and I loved it when he would literally sit there and cut holes into his shirts but he definitely loves himself a comfy outfit, he also went through this phase where he wore these baggy pants and he made them look super cute and comfy as fuck

Pretty much every member in BTS could wear a trash bag and look amazing so it doesn’t surprise me that he looks good in pretty much everything he wears so even though he’s making sure he’s comfy, he still looks cute

His style changes a lot, he’s always trying new things, he wears a lot of different colors, he goes through phases like a lot of people do but it’s typically jeans and a long sleeved shirt, sometimes he wears a more t-shirt styled shirt, sometimes he wears some plaid, he wears a lot of jackets, he loves accessories, hats, bags/backpacks, glasses, rings of course

His style is really expressive and I think hs!Tae would have that as well, he wears whatever he feels like wearing, he tries different things out and is always looking super boyfriend bc he’s such boyfriend material

Tae is super outgoing, he’s the type of person that knows pretty much everyone, he’s really social and he likes making new friends and hanging out with people and he’s a total cutie so how could someone not like tae he’s so bubbly and playful

He doesn’t care whatsoever if the person is popular or not, if they’re one of the “cool” kids, if they’re rich or not, as long as they’re genuinely nice human beings, he’s down

And he isn’t afraid to stick up for someone against a bully or a mean kid, he would introduce that person to some of his friends so they can see what it’s like to have real friends that are genuinely there for you and he does that a lot tbh, he takes in anyone that is an outcast or bullied or anything like that and he gives them lots of love and support and introduces them to people he knows will treat them right bc that’s v v important to Tae, he likes to make people happy

Grades wise, I think Tae is a pretty observant kid and I feel like he’s actually really smart like I don’t think he’s the type to really show off how smart he is, I saw this comment that was saying something like he isn’t so concerned about appearing smart, he just wants to have fun and I feel like that fits him so well bc he has these moments where you’re just like damN like when they tried to prank him during Bon Voyage and he was clever enough to play along with it and he realized what was going on pretty quickly so I feel like he would actually get mostly As and then some Bs in the classes he isn’t so amazing at

He would be part of the anime club tae seems to really enjoy anime, he’s been seen reading manga type of stuff and he’s mentioned it a few times, he and kook seem like they’re really really into anime so I think the both of them are probably in it together and they like going just to hear about new animes to watch or new manga coming out and plus it’s always nice to meet people that have the same interests at you (tbh tae’s probably the president of the club) 

He would love to play sports but it all depends on how busy he is that semester bc obviously he’s got the homework and the studying that a high school student goes through and then he’s got the club and then he’s in a relationship that’s v v dedicated to and he gets really sad when he can’t spend time with you so he would most likely choose to either be in the club or on the team

If he does go with the team, he would be a baseball player bc there’s a video of Tae and kook playing baseball together in one of those lil areas where the balls are just thrown out by a machine (idk the word for it I’m sure there’s a term but I’m not a sporty person) and Tae actually hit the majority of the balls and all ik is that I am here for baseball!Tae

Okay so prom with Tae aka being so hype the entire night like he’s texting you all day long about how excited he is to see you all dressed up bc Tae’s the type of person that would prefer you in sweatpants and his t-shirt rather than some designer clothes but he’s still excited to see it

Tae always looks so amazing in suits/tuxes so it’s no surprise to you when you see him looking niCE as fuck and he’s got this lil bow tie and he made sure his hair isn’t all over the place and he’s sprayed on the cologne you got him for his birthday that he saves for special occasions

When he first sees you, he does that blank face he does where his mouth is hanging open bc whOA but then he gets this huge square smile on his face and starts giggling and hugs you super super tight and keeps telling you how amazing you look bc similar to Jimin, on a normal day, Tae is showering you in compliments so on a special occasion, it’s literally nonstop, every few minutes he’s giving you a compliment

He’s s o in for pictures, he wants as many as people will take so he can have this memory forever and so he can show his future bbys how cute their parents were at prom

His arm pretty much never leaves your waist the entire night, even when he’s dancing around with the boys, he’s got you tucked into his side and he’s so smiley and giggly and he keeps yelling “are you having fun??” over the music just to make sure you’re just as happy as he is

He challenges you to a dance off at one point and forgets it’s a “competition” for a second and starts cheering you on until he hears Jimin laughing and then his game face is back and he’s ready to fiGht

Okay but slow dancing with tae sounds so amazing to me, he’s so warm and cuddly and it’d basically be a really long hug with some feet shuffling and he keeps making faces at you to make you laugh bc a happy you is a happy Tae and he gets that beautiful on his face when he gets you to laugh and he kisses your forehead super gently and whispers a lil “I love you”

High school!Tae is a super friendly sweetheart who loves to make everyone feel included and is head over heels for you
